Supervisors form the backbone of any manufacturing organisation and it has been indeed heartening to see Welspun India Ltd (WIL) invest year-on-year in developing their Supervisors to better lead the workers and professionally orient themselves towards their goals. WIL is Asia’s largest and the world’s 2nd largest home textiles company with large manufacturing set-ups in Anjar and Vapi in Gujarat. Element78 team had the privilege of working with the supervisors at WIL over the last 2 years, based on a diagnostic study. The workshops were experiential in nature with specific action planning, which were reviewed during subsequent coaching calls over 3 months. Change to happen needs sustainable focus, active implementation and a robust review mechanism. A team of 7 facilitators from Element78 along with the HR of WIL put together the intervention with these elements in mind.
